There’s a meme circulating on social media that goes like this…
If you catch 100 red fire ants as well as 100 large black ants, and put them in a jar, at first, nothing will happen. However, if you violently shake the jar and dump them back on the ground the ants will fight until they eventually kill each other. The thing is, the red ants think the black ants are the enemy and vice versa, when in reality, the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. This is exactly what’s happening in society today. Liberal vs. Conservative. Black vs. White. Pro Mask vs. Anti-Mask. The real question we need to be asking ourselves is who’s shaking the jar … and why?
Whether red ants will really fight black ants to the death is a question for the biologists, but it’s an apt analogy of what’s playing out before us on the political scene and a chilling lesson in social engineering. So, before you get too caught up in the circus politics and conveniently timed spectacles that keep us distracted from focusing too closely on the government’s power grabs, first ask yourself: who’s really shaking the jar?
I have had people contact me asking something like this… “What do I do about neighbors who aren’t interested in organizing?”
Let’s first remove the issues of race, ideology, gender, creed, sexuality, divergent political beliefs from the equation of that question.
Differences between us
I may appear to be a contradiction to those too ignorant to understand my past, the truth, or those who want to categorize me blindly to their beliefs, not mine. I’m one of millions of Authors.

He lived in an area that’s given birth to the term ‘Balkanization.’ This term relates to very diverse religious and ethnic groups that were forced to co-exist under Communist rule for almost 50 years. When that rule disintegrated… it was obvious that Communism had done little to remove these differences. Violence exploded and peoples and areas divided into mutually hostile groups and states.
Unless you have buried your head in the sand like the Proverbial Ostrich, this has started in America as you read this.
America is an ever more deeply divided country. We are polarized by race, ideology, creed, sexuality, along divergent political lines and almost anything else that can be noted as different between people. What used to be conversation, discussion and maybe arguments, has given way to the urge for the immediate use of violence by people and factions against those who don’t agree with them.
It is of extreme importance to put this division into perspective… it is being caused by a very small percentage of people ‘shaking the jar’ as in the meme about ants above. The vast majority of Americans just want to live their lives being left alone.
Violence would make the perfect perpetual motion machine… a machine by which power is not lost or dissipated through friction, wear, or other energy draining issues. Once the hypothetical perpetual motion machine starts, it generates energy excess to its needs to run and continually feeds on its own motions.
Perpetual motion machines, like violence, tend to become a means unto themselves and create an endless cycle once they are started… and are virtually impossible to stop. Like the mythical tale of Pandora’s Box… once it was opened… what came out could never be put back in the box.
Although imperfect and unjust at times, our founding Fathers’ vision of this country based on Judeo-Christian principles has been far more beneficial to Americans and the country than the grandiose egos possessed by most leaders… grandiose egos that they would institute as their particular cult of personality beliefs… to solely represent the aggregate principles of a country.
The success of America to this point is unique and apparent simply by America’s successful tenure amongst other forms of government and ‘Republics’ that have come and gone like summer rains during the past two centuries plus of America’s existence. As I stated in the Civil Defense Manual…
I have 74 years of life experience. I have a ‘color crayon box’ family of all races, beliefs, sexual identities, religions. Like amongst people of the world, it is a constant struggle in my family, but as we’ve learned to coexist, I encourage people to tolerate each other and live in harmony to the best of their abilities.
I sat in on a Black Panther Party meeting in 1970. Actually, the name they originated under was The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. One of my Air Force buddies and I got disgustingly intoxicated and ended up in San Jose. He decided to call a friend of his there who he was in Vietnam with, so we pulled up to a gas station payphone. He called the guy, who invited us to his house… where unknown to us, they just happened to be holding a meeting. A Black Panther Party for Self-Defense meeting.
I was the only white guy in the house, but they treated me respectfully… probably more so because I was a curiosity… me being white and all. It was my buddy’s friend’s house which was mostly barren of furniture, with somewhere around 50 black guys standing around armed to the teeth with pistols and mostly shotguns. I sat around the walls with them through their meeting listening to their agenda. Quite logical and impressive. Afterwards, I questioned some of these guys about the reason for their organization. Almost all of them were combat veterans of Vietnam and those conversations went something like this…
“We’re tired of white cops beating the fuck out of us for no reason other than they want to harass any black guy they see walking down the street. Three or four of us walk in a group now patrolling the streets. Since we started carrying our weapons, they’ve stopped doing it. They think twice when they see me carrying this bitch.” one said, pulling on the shoulder strap of the shotgun he had slung. Me, being a naive kid from a Midwest farm was astonished and said… “The police do that to you!?” (images of Forrest Gump come to mind).
“Been going on for years, another guy chimed in… ‘Charlie didn’t get me in ‘Nam… and I ain’t going to let no white cracker cop take me down here.” This was an eye opener for me and the reason I didn’t take the offer of an early out of the Air Force to be a cop in LA, as I told these Black Panthers the job I’d been offered and that I was intending to do.
The Black Panthers told me the harassment of blacks was going on down there too… in LA… but worse. They laughed when I said I wouldn’t take part in anything like that. One of them said to me… “You won’t be a cop very long!” …and something to the effect that I’d… “be going along with it, or you’ll get fucked up like us and then shit-canned from the force.”
Then, in the years that followed, Huey Newton took the party radically Communist and they dropped the “for Self-Defense” from the name. Many left the group over that. I have often thought of how naïve I must have looked to these guys. I know that I’d have done as much or more than they were doing if I had white, black or green cops using me for a punching bag ‘just for fun’ and because I was white.
That might give you a different perspective on the Black Panthers… or why they started, but maybe not what they are now.
One of my heroes…
The actor Morgan Freeman, made a statement once on 60 Minutes about ‘Black History Month.’ “What’s the purpose of that… what does that do to promote racial harmony?” It further divides people, he indicated. His solution to the race issue is brilliant in its simplicity. He said… “Just don’t talk about it (race)!” This coming from a black man who has endured a lot of discrimination.
Think about that statement… “Just don’t talk about it!” Brilliant in its logic, brevity and simplicity. But our government continually picks the scab off this wound by asking on their forms what race you are. For what reason? Our own government is promoting racism by reminding everyone that we have differences. I rarely take actor’s comments as knowing any more than most construction site cleanup guys, but Freeman is very common sense and intelligent.
Slavery in North America of black Africans, Chinese, Irish and other immigrants initially by the English, and later by the Railroad Barons and Industrialists, thrived. It was a horrible, brutal treatment, and always an inhumane treatment of a class of people. By whatever term or word you label it… employment of the destitute, ‘Convict Labor,’ ‘Indentured Servitude,’ or flat-out slavery… it created a second class citizenry and made a mockery of the “All men are created equal” part of America’s Constitution.
Blacks took the brunt of it. Families were sometimes separated against their will. It was an existence of brutal survival and it destroyed the most valuable treasure in the soul of a person… hope! It was truly Satan’s Highway to Hell.
The reality is that we are a country of diverse people of different beliefs, religions, races, ethnicities, sexualities and ideologies and there was great suffering in all our ancestors’ pasts. But even with that common denominator, we’re ready to go at each other’s throats with violence now… we’re about to open ‘Pandora’s Box.’
Racism and unjust treatment because of skin color or ethnicity (white, black, yellow or brown) or shape of eyes is still a problem in America… but it’s coming from all sides now… even though most truly want an end to it. This includes the vast majority of white, black, Hispanic, Oriental peoples.
The above being said… as a white person, I refuse to accept the bullshite ‘ideals’ from a tiny percentage of people that I’m racist just by being white or by my past. It’s clear to me, that even though these people are a miniscule minority, they do not want to get along. They want whites and all others different to them dead. You know who you are.
Mindless idiocy like in the photo is the result of these ‘ideals.’
You are agitating, looting and burning just cuz… or using this for a violent change to Marxism and to destroy Individual Liberties. You’re the same as the Nazi Fascists pukes you supposedly despise.
To the Black Lives Matter people, I say, yes… black lives do matter… as do all lives matter. When you make blind statements like that… think of six-month-old innocent babies from every race and ethnic group on a big blanket in your living room when you say ‘black lives matter!’ …so of course, ‘all lives matter.’ How can the life of those beautiful babies not matter because of their apparent differences?
So, this must end… and for the good of the children and the future, this is not how human beings should behave. As one TV personality recently said… “We have to learn to live with each other… or there will be blood.” I consider this person a Liberal advocate… but I believe deep down that he is a pretty good man… and what he was referring to was a Second Civil War in the United States because of our many divisions… race being one of them.
The divisions between Americans have never been so profound. These differences are beginning to show up at the Thanksgiving Dinner table, Christmas and other national holidays and family get togethers. Arguments between family members are starting to permeate and destroy what should be the love and integrity of the family unit… and the future of what could come from this greatest experience for people ever. America. Even though we’re ‘still workin’ on it.’
So I say with empathy and the thought in mind of how ancestors suffered and especially the barbaric, cruel slavery and forced work system and unjust second class citizen treatment of black, Irish and Chinese people in past North America, that we must all, regardless of race or ethnic background, move on from the past of our ancestors.
Your organization of a CDM Neighborhood Protection Plan™ or any group will not succeed if you harbor religious, political, racial, sexual, gender or any other diversity prejudices.
Understand that what I comment about mostly centers around decency and Individual Liberties for man. What information I post about Preparedness and Survival will be meaningless to you and yours if you don’t value decency and Individual Liberties… holding it above all ideologies and the way government authority acts towards the citizenry. Measure all your beliefs in governance by Individual Liberties, Free Enterprise… and Equality as to the Best of an Individual’s Capabilities and Ambitions.
Individual Liberties should come first and be allowed to flourish to the greatest extent possible by governing authority. If you believe that people should be subject to the State, and the State’s laws are above the individual person, don’t read the Civil Defense Manual.
Humanity doesn’t need you around when the dust settles. If you survive to become a slave of others… you didn’t survive to live… you endured to exist and suffer a mind-numbing reality of lies, deception and servitude.
Differences between people, tolerance and acceptance
The world is too small for bigotry and prejudices. A former Special Operations Soldier probably said it best…
As we fought for the ideals of freedom and for those on the left and right of us, we judged each other only by the most important of characteristics… nerve, courage and the willingness to stand in harm’s way for others… those abstract values that transcend the color of skin or the shape of eyes. During this respite from human pettiness, whatever our race, creed or ethnicity, at that time we were one.
As another unknown soldier said… “Everyone’s equal in a fighting hole!”
You will struggle as one when Crisis occurs…
If you can’t think like the prior paragraph, don’t bother forming a group.
People need to step back, sit down, close their eyes, take a breath and reflect on the fact that the great majority of people of each race, gender, creed, religion and sexuality… who are not what the news media portray as ‘representative’ of those minority groups… just want to get along with each other and don’t want to impose their beliefs and control the majority. They want their Individual Liberties and to be left alone to live their lives peacefully and get along with each other. We, for the most part do, despite this propaganda of hatred that is relentlessly flooding American’s thought and causing further polarization.
The surviving people in the world… God forbid it comes to that… don’t need to begin rebuilding on the prejudiced, redneck, Collectivist, Fascist Capitalist, religious fanaticism and dinosaur mentality of the past, even though our civilization may have taken a giant leap backwards in the interim.
We further encourage you to seek out other responsible people and groups in your area that are involved in preparedness. Expertise should be obtained by joining groups and sharing information, reading, DOING and getting specifics on preparedness.
But beware.
Make your contact with Preparedness people and groups slowly and carefully. Do not give too much information about yourself or what you have or know to them until you feel you can trust them and they are tolerant. I have run into whack jobs on the left and right in Preparedness and Survival so, I’d use an alias at first. Do not get involved with radical people with offensively violent plans or anyone who possesses explosives, illegal weapons or unlicensed silencers. You want to associate with lawful Americans tolerant of race, religion, gender, ethnicity and sexuality.

But as the German Military Theoretician Carl Phillip Gottlieb von Clausewitz stated… “War is a continuation of Politics by other means…” and I believe that when those ‘locked horns’ come apart… it will only be through further violence and that pent-up energy will bring… war. So, this is what Normal Civility is now in America…

Read about that horror and you will know that Americans need to work towards preventing this and just pray this doesn’t happen.
The “I’ve never been in the military…” Civilian’s inspiration
I need each and every Reader to look up General Nathanael Greene. At the beginning of the Revolutionary War, General George Washington was handed defeat after defeat in battles commanded by three of his Generals with impeccable military records and experience. Impressed with a new and little-known officer at the siege of Boston, Washington began to rely heavily this man who was just like some of you… Nathanael Greene had absolutely no formal military training or experience… zero, zilch, zip, nada!
In addition, Greene was cursed with a physically incapacitating limp, so he had to begin at a Privates’ rank. This foundry owner went from a lowly Private to become George Washington’s most trusted and capable General Officer. Not all CDM Neighborhood Protection Plan™ Leaders need to have military experience… and you all have the potential, whether you’re white, black, Hispanic, Oriental, man or woman, queer or straight.
How!?
Nathanael Greene had accumulated and had read his own library of military books and used this knowledge of tactics and thought from these books, combined with good Intelligence, to defeat Britain’s best. So, read and learn. Read this book and others of way more stature than this book. Read about the military minds of the great military leaders throughout history, their actions, their thoughts, their successes… and their defeats. Create your own catalogue and arsenal of tactical thought and combine it with the Leadership principles in this book.
So, the answer to the question of… “What do I do about neighbors who aren’t interested in organizing?”
…is to work around these people until the situation dictates that they, by their own decision, become involved. Put the color of their skin, their gender, their sexual persuasion, their religion, politics, their customs, or the shape of their eyes aside. Eventually, most will gravitate to being part of your group… and when a crisis starts… they will definitely become involved.
During a time of Crisis, you will need the help of everyone in your neighborhood. If they have the experience and training, you must accept taking orders from them… whatever the color of their skin, their gender, their sexual persuasion, their religion, their customs, or the shape of their eyes.
